Thank you for visiting my website; I am Joe Rauschenberger. My interest and participation in sports has been a lifelong passion that includes years spent as an athlete, umpire, coach and broadcaster.
Graduating from Northern Arizona University with an English degree (5/8/10), I am prepared to synthesize my broadcast and language skills and experiences at a professional level.
My immediate and future ambitions are to create (plan/sell/execute) a broadcast network for an organization and serve as Media Relations Director in a full-time capacity.
Please browse the site and if you have any questions, please contact me. I have plenty of demo material I'm happy to share and plenty of ideas and questions.

RAUSCHENBERGER TO CALL OUTLAWS BASEBALL
Press Release which appeared onSportscasters Talent Agency of America website
(May 6, 2009) The Chico Outlaws have announced their 2009 season will be broadcast on the team's website. Joe Rauschenberger joins the Outlaws in the broadcast booth this summer for his first season with the team.
Rauschenberger, a Missouri native, has broadcast baseball, hockey, and women's basketball at the collegiate
level the past three years. He also worked for the Golden Baseball League during the 2009 Arizona Winter League
as Web site director and official statistician.
"I'm very excited to come to Chico and begin working with the organization", Rauschenberger said. "I know how well the community supports the Outlaws, and baseball is my true passion. I'm sure that will show in how we present the broadcast."
Rauschenberger will hit the road and broadcast every pitch of 72 of the 88 Outlaw games this season.
The 16 international dates on the schedule will tentatively be available via archive. Fans will also
be able to enjoy an in-house FM signal that will carry the broadcasts at "The Nett". Rauschenberger
will also be filing game stories, writing a "Booth Blog", and fostering fan interaction with the broadcast.
"It's going to be great," Rauschenberger says. "I've been waiting my whole life to be in the booth for a professional baseball team. Opening Night can't come soon enough."
2009 Arizona Winter League
Media Intern for the 2009 AWL in Yuma, Arizona.
Our offices are part of the Desert Sun Stadium, hub for all the league's
athletic and administrative activities.
Below is an excerpt from the Arizona Winter League website.
It's a chilly Monday morning here in the Southwest, but the sun is climbing and baseball players are arriving by the van-full! Close to a 170 ballplayers from half-a-dozen countries and all corners of America came through the offices yesterday. An evening meeting brought everyone together at once for introductions, and the mood was set for hardwork.
Stretches began sharply at 8:30am this morning. The ballplayers will have
three days to make their impressions on the impressive array of scouts and
managers before Wednesday night's player-draft.
